General Manager, Summer Water

The General Manager is responsible for the omnichannel growth of Summer Water, Winc’s leading, cult-favorite rosé that was ranked as a Top 100 wine (#56) by Wine Enthusiast in 2020. The GM will grow Summer Water across DTC and wholesale channels, with a focus on leaning in on e-commerce and digital marketing to drive revenue and overall brand awareness. The position requires a marketing-first mentality and strategic, data-driven decision making. This position reports to the VP of Growth.

The Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for leadership and performance of the Summer Water brand across all SKUs, channels, and markets
  • Develop strategy to catalyze growth of Summer Water, including audience/customer targeting, identification of category / competitive dynamics in market, opportunity sizing, market penetration strategy, and performance and brand marketing investment recommendations
  • Develop digital presence for Summer Water, including an e-commerce website with a paid and organic customer acquisition strategy
  • Create and execute on an omnichannel marketing strategy to drive brand growth, with a focus on leveraging e-commerce, digital marketing, and email/SMS to drive revenue and increase brand awareness
  • Work with Sales team to provide narrative, strategy, and data points to help push point-of-distribution growth for Summer Water
  • Understand and evaluate effectiveness of marketing spend across various channels, including paid social, influencer campaigns, experiential brand activations, and organic social / blog
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to direct creative & brand, create a long-term product roadmap, and drive performance metrics
  • Report on performance and KPIs to leadership and the rest of the organization
  • Provide mentorship/management for junior team members
